However, several hours into the prologue we find that his allegiance is truly aligned with the Templars. It was a stunning plot twist to the series for its time. He can be described as impulsive, careless, and easily provoked. Jacob, and his twin sister, Evie, were brought up as Assassins following the death of their father. Evie flourished in the philosophy and teachings of the Assassins.
Jacob, however, would feel entrapped by the principles of their order. Naturally a man of action, Jacob would have the tendency to leap into situations and let his fists do the talking. This mentality often caused collateral damage in the moment, something that Jacob would shrug off when scorned by his sister. Nevertheless, Jacob was highly instrumental as the founder of the Rooks, an anti-Templar crime syndicate.
He and his sister, Kassandra, will share mostly similar stories regardless of who you choose. That said, Alexios fills in the expected tough-guy moniker. Female Eivor is raspy and fiery, as if about to start a fight for a good cause befitting a Viking. Female Eivor could also be charming, humorous, and passionate when the moment called for it. Basim began as a street thief before being discovered by Master Assassin Roshan and inducted into the Hidden Ones. He had to resort to stealth and his game is the first Assassin's Creed title to feature a dedicated stealth mode button.
Although his defeat at the hands of Jack the Ripper, an assassin apprentice gone rogue, appears damning, the younger of the Frye twins remains a formidable opponent. For someone who never had any assassin training at all, Desmond Miles went pretty far ahead after just a few months or years of learning through virtual reality. Well, it could be that the bleeding effect gave him a leg up but keep in mind that his muscles and bones weren't even built like his predecessors.
For Desmond to learn parkour and even combat so quickly, that can only mean his potential is greater than that of his ancestors.
Assassins creed character biography: Assassin's Creed. Assassins creed. Assassin's
One can only imagine how far he could have come if only he had a more hands-on training. Shao Jun is one of the lesser-known protagonists in the game series since she's from Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China. However, compared to most assassins here, her journey is one of the most impressive. There are many assassins in gaming. But most don't measure up to these killers.
She started off as a rescued concubine who swore vengeance on her Templar masters. To achieve this, she had to bring a Assassin Brotherhood sect back to health until she eventually became its Master Assassin. We'll even go as far as saying she's the most proficient assassin when it comes to melee combat with her combination of martial arts, hidden blades in her shoes, and more agile swordplay.
The elder and more level-headed Frye twin is Evie. While her brother preferred action and fast results, Evie was a firm believer in cloak-and-dagger tactics, and the core tenets of the Brotherhood. As a master tactician, Evie disliked behaving recklessly, which often put her at odds with her brother. Between her proficiency at stealth and expertise with silent weapons like throwing knives, Evie is a formidable opponent who took down a number of Templar targets, and even Jack the Ripper.
Edward Kenway has quite an impressive resume when it comes to Master Assassins. Some fans like Connor's gentle nature and the way he's used to explore racial themes, but others find him one of the franchise's least likable characters. Coming after the beloved Ezio Auditore, the audience may be harder on Connor than they would be in any other game.
Nonetheless, many feel Connor's impulsive tendencies and sullen behavior overshadow his more positive attributes. After being treated as an afterthought in several games, the present-day storyline received more focus and a new protagonist in Assassin's Creed Originscontinuing through Odyssey and Valhalla. Layla Hassan was an Egyptian woman who refined Animus technology with Abstergo.
She later went on the run after Abstergo sought to silence her. Both Layla's storyline and her characterization appeal to some fans while alienating others.

After unintentionally causing a tragedy, Shay Cormac becomes disillusioned with the Assassin's Brotherhood and joins the franchise's recurring villains.
Aside from his role in the story, Shay's characterization feels like a retread of several other characters. However, he still wins supporters for his clash of loyalties, his genuine regrets over his prior actions, and his devotion to the Templars. His upbringing is more luxurious than other protagonists, and he possesses some genuinely sympathetic traits, but sometimes his emotions work against him.
Arno divides Assassin's Creed fans. Some believe he's a compassionate and likably-flawed character who tries to see the best outcome in difficult situations. Others view him as a self-indulgent and naive man who revels in his own irresponsibility. Arno's possessive pursuit of his love interest and his pitiful behavior after his expulsion only add fuel to the fire.
